Well, we’ve made it through another year at Howard University. This year has been exciting and memorable- from the election of our first black president to all of the fun-filled events that make Howard U the university that it is.
Hopefully, all of the freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be returning next year to continue their matriculation at Howard. If not, then we wish you the best in your other endeavors.
And for all of those wonderful graduating seniors, hopefully there is a new and exciting challenge awaiting, as you take all of the knowledge you’ve gained in the last 4, 5, or 6 years and put it to work!
For those Freshmen who do not have internship plans, you will probably miss Howard a lot. Many freshmen can remember their first summer home.
It’s never the same going home and having to get readjusted to your parents telling you what to do. Hopefully, most of us will be attending school, working, or interning, since doing nothing doesn’t really sit well with the culture of Howard University.

If you do not have job, internship, or graduate school plans lined up yet, don’t loose faith. If you’ve worked hard for four years, there is something that will come along, and depending on the industry, many companies are very spontaneous in posting job information.
In addition, we want to say farewell to the faculty and administration who we trust will be working hard over the summer, but also enjoying their time off.
To everyone, be safe and productive. For those returning, return in the fall refreshed and ready for another year of hard work!
And for everyone moving on to other things, may the spirit of Howard go with you and constantly push you and inspire to higher heights.
